Ganesh Himal Trek is one of the trekking destinations in the central eastern region. Even though the Ganesh Himal mostly popular among all. The route to Ganesh Himal Trek is not known by many; it takes as one of the least explored routes of Nepal. This trek is located on the north-west side of Kathmandu. It is lies between the Langtang National Park and Manaslu Conservation Area.

The name ‘Ganesh’ comes from Lord Ganesh (Hindu elephant-headed god) who is a son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The 14-days Ganesh Himal Trek takes through the unexplored area of Central Nepal offering the spectacular view of Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, and Ganesh IV), Mt Manaslu, Langtang range, Tibet range, and Mount Annapurna. The overall view of all the mountains stands out like a crystal forming a “Great Himalayan Chain” in the skyline.

The trekking route passes through the several villages inhabited by various ethnic groups. Trekker gets an opportunity to learn about the pure Nepali culture, their unique lifestyles, hardships, and tradition. The trek also offers a fantastic view of twin waterfalls known as Ganga Jamuna, Black, and white Lake; which is also known as Kalo Seto Kunda and Ganesh Kunda. These three are other major highlights of the trek.

The route to Ganesh Himal Trek takes through the green hills, a dense jungle full of oaks and colorful rhododendron, deep gorges, and terraced farm fields. Trekking through the jungle, trekker may get a glimpse of different wildlife like Himalayan Thar, Gaur, monkeys, musk deer and various species of birds. Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m) - A & D.
Our staff picks you up at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival and transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu for an overnight stay.
DAY 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing and trek preparation - A, B, L & D.
We drive around Kathmandu sightseeing different places like Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square and Godavari Botanical Garden. Later in the evening, we discuss trek briefly and make necessary preparation for the trek. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
DAY 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Dhading (Satdobato) (1,500m), 7 hrs - A, B, L & D.
Leaving Kathmandu behind us, we head towards Dhading in a jeep enjoying the countryside view throughout the way. Following the bumpy road from Trishuli Bazar, we arrive at Satdobato which is a small town populated by Chhetri, Brahman, and Tamang. Overnight at Lodge.
DAY 4 Trek from Satdobato to Bhalche (1,850m), 5/6 hrs - A, B, L & D.
We trek towards Bhalche passing through the terraced fields and villages inhabited by Tamang and Dalit people. We also come across small monastery and Hindu Temples on our way to Tamang village of Bhalche. Overnight at Lodge in Bhalche.
DAY 5 Trek from Bhalche to Gongga (2,950m), 6/7 hrs - A, B, L & D.
Today we follow the forested trail filled with pine, oaks and rhododendron trees where we may get the sight of a Himalayan monkey on our way. Continuing the trek, we cross the stream and enjoying the view of Langtang Lirung in the background, we make our way up to Gongga. Overnight at Lodge
DAY 6 Trek from Gongga to Rupchet (2,850m), 5/6 hrs - A, B, L & D.
Today we trek through the dense forest of pines and oaks. Accompanied by the marvellous view of Ganesh Himal Range and Tibetan Mountain Range in the background, we arrive at Rupchet. Overnight at Lodge in Rupchet.
DAY 7 Trek from Rupchet to Shertunga (1,920m) via Singla La Pass (4,045m), 7 hrs - A, B, L & D.
We ascend to Singla La Pass through the steep trail. Upon reaching the top, we are rewarded with the breathtaking view of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Tibet range, Langtang and other mountain peaks. We then descend downhill entering through rhododendron forest to finally reach Shertunga Kharka. Overnight at Lodge.
DAY 8 Trek from Shertunga Kharka to Shertunga Village (2,000m), 3/4 hrs - A, B, L & D.
We head towards Shertunga Village walking through the terraced farm fields with the view of Ganesh Himal in the background. We then descend down and pass through some remote villages on our way before reaching the Shertunga Village. Overnight at Lodge.
DAY 9 Trek from Shertunga Village to Jharlang Phedi (1,450m), 6 hrs - A, B, L & D
Leaving behind the Shertunga Village, we trek towards Jharlang Phedi. Before arriving at Jharlang Phedi, we walk past the Tamang village of Borang and cross the suspension bridge over the river. Overnight at Lodge.
DAY 10 Trek from Jharlang Phedi to Kintang Phedi (1,000m), 6 hrs - A, B, L & D.
Today we ascend and descend through hill enjoying the view of snow-capped mountains in the background. We also pass through several small villages where we get a glimpse of hardships of locals. We continue our trail to reach Kintang Phedi, a small village populated by a mixed culture. Overnight at Lodge.
DAY 11 Trek from Kintang Phedi to Serabensi-Jamrung (700m), 6 hrs - A, B, L & D.
Following the flow of Netrawati River, we trek through the terraced farm fields and arrive at Khaahre Bazar. We then continue our trek through the easy trail to reach Serabensi Jamrung. Overnight stay at Lodge in Serabensi Jamrung.
DAY 12 Stay Jamrung and explore the local community.
We take a day off trekking and stay at Jamrung to explore the village. We visit the nearby places of the village and get to learn about the culture and tradition of Jamrung people. We also go for fishing or swimming in the evening. Overnight stay ta Jamrung.
DAY 13 Trek Jamrung to Sukaura, 30 min walk, drive back to Kathmandu.
Leaving behind the Jamrung village, we take a short 30-min walk up to Sukaura. We take a ride back to Kathmandu enjoying the amazing view of mountain peaks and landscape on our way back. We transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu for an overnight stay.
DAY 14 Final Departure - B.
We drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport approximately 3 hours before scheduled flight.
