Pikey peak falls in the lower Solu Khumbu region of eastern Nepal. A less trodden path, the trek to Pikey peak is one of the best vantage points to view the mighty Everest at 8,848m, as evidently opinionated by Sir. Edmund Hillary himself. This is a wonderful opportunity to marvel at the beauty and serenity of the Himalayas in a short period of time. It also offers for Everest enthusiasts to get to view the majestic mountain without having to spend days in harsh and difficult terrain. Also, since it’s been opened recently, this trek is relatively quiet due to less inflow of tourists. In this trek, you have the chance to gaze upon some of the magnificent mountains of Nepal such as the Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse (8414m),  Mt. Makalu (8463m), Mt. Gaurishanker (7134m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna (8,091m), Kanchenjunga (8,568m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Thamserku (6,623m) among many others.

Beginning the trip from Kathmandu, we head to Jhapre and to the Pikey Peak Base Camp. Reveling in the plethora of natural beauties, we conquer the Pikey Peak and then make way through villages of local ethnicities of Tamang and Sherpa. Traversing through forested landscapes, we reach Shivalaya and finally culminate the trek as we head to Kathmandu.

Pikey Peak Trek will take us through some picturesque villages in the Solukhumbu region with friendly and cheerful inhabitants who will help you out in any sort of problems. The Sherpas, being a local of this region, offer us the opportunity to explore their culture and tradition. Having lived in high altitude for time immemorial, the Sherpas are excellent in mountain climbing, evidence of which is that no successful expedition can be done without their expertise. We will see quaint villages thriving with Buddhist philosophy and many Chorten, monasteries and prayer flags waving against the stark backdrop of the Himalayas. In all this is a perfect opportunity not only to view the natural beauty that Nepal is but also to immerse oneself in the diversity and culture that thrives here.

Leaders of all expeditions across Nepal, we, at Himalayan Summit Treks and Expedition, take pride in guiding you. With our experienced and trained guides/porters be sure to experience things that you have never before and go home with memories that will last a lifetime.
