If you are someone with the strength (physical and mental) to endure the challenges that turn into rewards then Annapurna Mountain Bike Tour awaits you.

This beautiful mountain bike experience will last for 14 days which will become an unforgettable experience in your life. Commence your mountain biking trip as you drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar. This is the initial point of biking. From here, you start biking anti-clockwise around the incredible Annapurna massif. The views are certainly breathtaking, literally.

Unforgettable Annapurna Mountain Bike

The high altitude might make it difficult but it is worthwhile. The path ascents slowly, letting you acclimatize to the high elevations, as you travel along the Marsayangdi Valley. The mountain bike tour crosses through different sceneries, from lush sub-tropical forest, deep gorges and cultivated meadows, to woody alpines and high deserts. It is an out of the world experience to cycle on a cliff above a deep gorge to reach the pristine Tilicho Lake.

And after crossing the challenging Thorong La Pass, you incline to Muktinath, one of the most significant Hindu pilgrimage sites. You can take bath at 108 holy taps to continue with the mythical facts that it washes off your sins. From here, you pass Lupra Valley to reach Jomsom, and then go downhill to Tukuche, Tatopani, and lastly, at Beni, your biking trip ends. A jeep will take you to Pokhara and the next day you return to Kathmandu.

As challenging the rocky terrain and technical paths are, this trip is well planned and facilitated by the team of experts at Himalayan Summit Treks and Expedition. A mechanical team joins you on all bike trips so that you needn’t worry in case of breakdowns. We can also provide you with excellent quality mountain bikes. Book your trip now to enjoy this thrilling adventure!

After the initial hard ascent, our trail continues to get hard along the side of the elevation in a steady steep ascent before reaching the watershed. On the way, we can encounter the yaks grazing along our trail. On the other side is the Tilicho Lake, a large remarkable lake settled at the base of the north face of Tilicho Peak (7134m). The lake was noted as 'The Great Ice Lake’ by Maurice Herzog, the leader of a French expedition team. After spending some time at the lake, we will return back to Manang. Overnight at guesthouse.
DAY 8 Ride from Manang to Thorong Phedi (4,450m). Distance: 19 km. Overnight at the tea house.
Leave Manang for further ascending to Yak Kharka. Continue to ride to the higher elevation. Riding becomes very hard due to altitude and the ruggedness of the terrain. So, ride slowly and carefully. Enjoy the background of the wide meadows. It is essential to remain physically and mentally ready for the uppermost climb of the next day. Overnight at the teahouse.

The ascent is challenging, the effects of altitude can be felt, but the remarkable view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs seen from the top is worthwhile. Once at the top, rest and relish the feeling of victory to be at the top of Annapurna Circuit and prepare for the descent. After 45 minutes of riding, you arrive in Muktinath (3,760 m) where you can rest your tired body.
