The journey begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the most thrilling airstrips in the world.
On the trail, you’ll pass through Namche Bazaar, the lively Sherpa capital filled with cozy teahouses and Tibetan markets. Continue to the sacred Tengboche Monastery, nestled among Himalayan giants, and onwards to traditional villages like Dingboche and Lobuche.

1. How difficult is the Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek?
The trek is considered moderate to challenging due to its high altitude and continuous trekking for several days. However, it does not require technical climbing experience. Good physical fitness, mental preparation, and acclimatization are key to a successful trek.
2. What is the maximum altitude reached during the trek?
The highest point of the trek is Kala Patthar, at an altitude of 5,545 meters (18,192 feet), which offers breathtaking sunrise views of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks.
3. What kind of accommodation can I expect during the trek?
You will stay in traditional mountain lodges or “teahouses” that provide basic but comfortable rooms with twin beds, warm blankets, and shared bathrooms. In Kathmandu, we provide a 3-star standard hotel with breakfast.
4. Is altitude sickness a concern on this trek?
Yes, due to the high elevations, altitude sickness is a risk. We follow a well-planned itinerary with rest days to allow for acclimatization. Our guides are trained in altitude awareness and carry oximeters and first-aid kits.
5. Do I need to carry my own luggage?
No. We provide one porter for every two trekkers. You only carry a light daypack with your personal items like water, snacks, a camera, and a rain jacket.
6. Can I charge my phone or camera during the trek?
Yes, most teahouses offer charging services for a small fee. It’s recommended to carry a power bank and extra batteries due to limited electricity in higher altitudes.
