The one day Shivapuri National Park Hike starts uphill from Budhanikantha, a temple with Lord Vishnu floating in the pond; heading towards the entrance of the national park. A check post of Nepal Army located for the security of the national park where you find maps and guideline for help.

The park is subtropical, lower temperature forest which consists of oak, Chir pine, and rhododendron trees. The trail consists of numbers of stone steps along with the flat trails amid the forest which makes the hike more exciting. Many waterfalls and small water outlets can be seen during the trek along with the exotic sounds of various birds.

While hiking visit Bagdwar, the starting point of the holy Bagmati River worshipped by the Hindu devotees. Another notable attraction is Nagi Gumba, the only monastery inside the conservation area where nuns practice Buddhism. A swift hike downhill through Tarebhir takes the hikers to Sundarijal, where a beautiful waterfall awaits the hikers. The hike ends with a taste of the local food in Sundarijal, fulfilling the hikers from every aspect.
