Yala Peak climbing is among one of the lightest peaks in the Himalayan summit. It is best for the trekkers who want to stand in the zenith of Himalayas but have a limited time in hand. From the top of the Yala peak offers you the magnificent view of the Langtang region and mountains from the Langtang region.
Journey to Yala Peak Climbing
Your trek will start with a drive in the north-western hills of Kathmandu that will lead you to the Syabru. Your route will follow Trishuli River Valley through beautiful Dhunche Village, Trishuli Bazaar, and Betrawati providing you the gorgeous view of the snow-capped mountain along the way.
You will stay a night in Syabru and the next day your trek will begin from Syabru to Lama Hotel. Then you will trek towards Langtang. Further, the trail will lead you to the lush meadows of Ghoda Tabela (2,992m) crossing a stream and various water-driven mills. You will also go through the large village of Langtang.
After crossing several small streams with wooden cantilever bridges and moraines, you will see the monastery of Kyangin Gompa. There you can see the government-operated cheese factory. You will reach Kyangin Gompa village early which will give you time to acclimatize to the high altitude.
An attempt to the summit of Yala peak…
Today you will begin your Yala peak Climbing trek for Tserko Ri, after reaching there it will be the free day for you. Day 8th will be your trek to Yala Peak base camp (4,800m). You will get a wonderful view of Gangchempo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, and Yala Peak from the base camp. Later, you will stay a night there. The next day will be your attempt to the summit of Yala peak.
You will be familiarized with the further climbing process. The next day you will summit Yala Peak up to 5500m and rest for a day. Next morning you will climb further up to 6091m, there you will get the magnificent view of peaks around you. Later, return back to base camp after having some good time.
Next morning you will descend down to Ghoda Tabela following the Langtang Khola and stay there for a night. Your next trail will lead you to the Syabru through different Sherpa and Tamang village. Staying a night you will move to Dhunche crossing oak and rhododendron forests. The best season to go for a trek here is from March to May and September to May.

Itinerary
Land in Kathmandu, one of our team delegates will be at the airport to welcome you. He will directly take you to the hotel. In the evening you will meet with your guide and have a welcome dinner. You will also get information about the trek and provided with all the gears needed during trekking.
After breakfast, you will visit renowned UNESCO world heritage sites with your guide. You will visit the holy Hindu temple ‘Pashupatinath’, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), one of the largest stupas in the world Boudhanath (Buddhist Shrine). You will also visit the historical and ancient Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Today after a delicious breakfast, you will begin your drive to Syabru along the north-western hills of Kathmandu. The drive will be around 7/8 hours long with the heart-melting view of snowcapped mountains like Mt. Annapurna II, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and other minor peaks including the green scene of hillock, rivers, and hamlets. After reaching Syabru you will check-in inside your Teahouse.
After breakfast, your trek will begin. The trail crosses through the Bhote Koshi River following down the Tibet and Langtang Khola. You will go through the sub-tropical forest covered by oak and maple, fir and blue pine, massive spruce and wildlife forests. Ascending to Rimche (2,400m) your trail ends and you will stay overnight at the Lama Hotel.
Today after breakfast, another day of strenuous walk starts. You will start with an easy climb which soon turns into steep, climbing through the forest of oaks, maples, hemlocks, white and pink rhododendron above the Langtang Khola. You will see Yaks and Goats gazing around you, after crossing Buddhist monastery you will reach Langtang and stay overnight at Teahouse.
After having breakfast you then start your trek climbing gradually through small villages and yak pastures, crossing a stream to the small village of Mundu (3442m. You will see outstanding views of Langtang Lirung, Yala Peak, Genjempol, Kyanjin RI (4,750m), Ganja La (5,160m), etc.
Today is a full break for you at Kyangin Gompa village. After having launch you will visit Buddhist monastery and cheese factory. You will also have the option to do the side trip to Langshisa Kharka which is around 5-6 hour long walk with more alternative side trips to many uninhabited valleys.
Today your trail begins along with the rocky glacier to reach the Yala base camp. After reaching base camp your guide will give you quick training on how you should use your gear such as ropes, ice pick, harness, and crampons. You will stay overnight at Yala Base Camp.
After having breakfast, you will start your summit to Yala peak. With the amazing view of the surrounding, you will be familiarized with the further climbing process. Tomorrow will be the winning day for you.
Today you will start your summit to Yala Peak early in the morning. You will get superb scenic views of the Himalayas including Shishapangma, Gangchempo, Naya Kang, Dorje Lakpa, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and others. After having some incredible time at the top you will head back to base camp.
Today you will stay here and have a rest day before climbing further. You will have an outstanding view of snow-capped mountains around you. You can have some good here and stay for a night.
After having breakfast, you will begin your climb further to reach at 6091m. The trail will be tough but worthy. After a good time up there you will return back to base camp and stay overnight.
You will have your breakfast in the gorgeous view of snow-capped mountains. After that, you will decedent back to Ghoda Tabela following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village. You will again cross several water-driven mills and a stream. You will stay overnight here.
Today you will trek on the uppermost part of the trail which is best for the panoramic view of mountains and green hills. The route remains sunny crossing through different Tamang and Sherpa villages that gradually descent to Syabru. Here you can enjoy amazing landscapes and wonderful custom, culture, and tradition of Tamang’s.
Today you will trek to Dhunche, the trail descends through rhododendron, hemlock, and oak forests leading you to the Shin Gompa. This place is famous for Yak cheese. You will stay overnight here.
Today after having your food, you will drive back to Kathmandu. The route will give you attractive views of mountains, rivers, green hills, and old settlements. You can cherish your past few days while your drive to Kathmandu.
Today is your free day in Kathmandu. You can either rest whole day or explore nearby places. In the evening there will be a farewell dinner for you.
Today you will be drop at an airport to fly back to your home.
