Trek Overview & Itinerary
The journey begins upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. Before heading towards the mountains, explore Kathmandu’s cultural heritage, including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square (all UNESCO World Heritage Sites), Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Boudhanath Stupa.
A scenic flight to Lukla marks the beginning of your trek, offering spectacular aerial views of the Himalayas. As you trek through Namche Bazaar, the trading hub of the Khumbu region, you will pass through vibrant Sherpa villages, experiencing their warm hospitality and diverse culture.

Itinerary
The trip begins with your arrival in Kathmandu via Tribhuvan International Airport. Our representative will pick you at the airport and then you will be transferred to your hotel by a private van or bus.
After an early breakfast, you will be sightseeing in Kathmandu. This includes the durbar squares of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. You will also be briefed by the team leader regarding the necessary preparations for the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Enjoy a wonderful 40 min flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Then you will head for the village of Phakding. It will be a 3-4 hours trek. Tea or Lunch on the way to Phakding. Overnight at lodge.
After an early morning breakfast, you will cross a suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi and enter Sagarmatha National Park. Lunch will be in Jorsalle. You will get a glance of Mt Everest on your way. Steep climb till you reaches Namche Bazaar.
You take this day to get some rest and get familiar with the conditions in the higher altitude. You can enjoy your day in Namche Bazaar as there are many facilities such as the bank, cyber café, shopping and souvenir shops. You can also see the Sherpa museum. Overnight at the mountain lodge.
You will ascend Mongla Hills and head downwards. Then follow the path which leads to rhododendron and pine forest and develops a perfect view of Cho Oyu (8,188 m). It will take around 6-7 hours to reach Dole.
It is an easier trek today as you descend till a few teahouses and ascend for 1 hour to the top of the hill. You will reach Luza (4,390 m) in one and a half hours. You will then cross high pasturelands and prayers flags. You can see the mesmerizing view of the eastern part of Gokyo valley. Then walk down to Machhermo. Overnight at lodge.
The trail climbs the ridge of the valley with excellent views of Kantega and big mountain Cho-Oyu. You will pass through few stone houses and a steep climb to Ngozumpa glacier. Then cross a bridge over a stream which flows from Gokyo Lake. You will see two more lakes here. Overnight at the mountain lodge.
You will climb the hills that rise above the northern shore of Dudh Pokhari. After 2 hours of climbing, you can witness an incredible view of the sunrise and mountains. The spectacular view of Mt Everest (8,848m), Mt. Lhotse (8,510m), Cho Oyu (8,153m) and other peaks is the major highlight of the day.
After early morning breakfast in Gokyo, you will trek back to the village of Dhole. It will take around 5-6 hours.
After breakfast in Dhole, you will say goodbye to Gokyo valley. The trail descends till Phortse Tanga then ascends until you reach Mongla. Then you will descend again till Kyangjuma and have lunch there. The further trek will take you to Namche Bazaar.
The trail descends and goes down through rhododendron and pine forest. You also cross a suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi. Then trek until you reach Phakding. Short climb after Thado Koshi, then a 30 min walk to Lukla. Stay overnight at lodge.
After a good breakfast, you will take the flight to Kathmandu. Enjoy the view of the Himalayas from above. You will have a free day. There will also be a farewell dinner later in the evening.
After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport by one of our representatives. From there you will take your flight home/ next destination.
