Nepal Family Adventure is a relaxed family holiday with your children. This is full of fun activities to satisfy both yourself and the children. The trip features it all; a trek on the foothills of the Annapurna Himalayas, a boat ride in Phewa Lake in the beautiful Pokhara. A trip to the flatland of Chitwan, a jeep ride in the deep forest of Chitwan National Park; a cultural exploration of the Gurung and Tharu ethnics met during the trip. Things you can enjoy with  Nepal Family Adventure

The 12 days Family Adventure starts after you explore the shrines and heritage sites in Kathmandu along with the hectic and colorful local markets. The first day sets for welcome dinner and basic procedure. The next day, you drive to Pokhara where you enjoy the view of spectacular Himalayas by the lakeside. You then head on to an easy trek to the Annapurna foothills reaching beautiful Gurung villages of Ghandruk and Landruk.

It will serve heart-warming hospitality and breath-taking vistas of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6993m). Later, you drive to Chitwan National Park after a short stay in Pokhara featuring a hike up to World Peace Stupa and boating in Phewa Lake. Enjoy the jeep safari, bird watching, elephant bathing, and a visit to the Elephant Breeding Centre and Gharial Breeding Centre. In Chitwan, you also get to explore the colorful Tharu villages and enjoy a cultural dance by the local Tharu.  The trip ends as you drive back to Kathmandu with a head full of memories.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive in Kathmandu.
Welcome to Nepal. You will be picked and transferred to the hotel by our representatives. Enjoy your welcome dinner at the hotel.
DAY 2 Kathmandu city tour and trip preparation.
We start a guided tour to different most ancient and divine attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these milestones are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, the holy Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, and the Buddhist shrines of Swayambhunath and Boudhanath. At noon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where you will also meet our team members. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 Drive to Pokhara.
Early morning, drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara with the picturesque view of towering hills and calm rivers. Upon arrival in Pokhara, enjoy the mesmerizing view of the lakeside area and do some fun activities like boating and cycling. Overnight in Pokhara.
DAY 4 Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Ghandruk.
You take a 2-hour drive through the countryside to reach Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. The trek to Ghandruk is a slow climb on flagstone steps through a sub-tropical forest filled mostly with rhododendron trees. The picturesque stone steps walk you on the hill to reach the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk. Ghandruk hosts an eye-popping vista of Annapurna South (7,219m) and Machhapuchhre (6,993m). Overnight in Ghandruk.
DAY 5 Trek to Jhinu.
Descending to Jhinu Danda, you trek through a forested trail adorned with various floras. Throughout the trek, you will be accompanied by an amazing panorama of Annapurna South (7,219m) and Machhapuchhre (6,993m). Crossing several suspension bridges, you reach Jhinu. On reaching Jhinu, you can take a calming bath in the natural hot spring. Overnight in Jhinu.
DAY 6 Trek to Landruk.
The trek goes through rhododendron forest, full of different species of birds, to reach the settlement of Landruk inhabited by welcoming Gurung people. As you descend, the breathtaking view of Landruk with its stone houses and alleys start to appear. You then cross a suspension bridge and enter Landruk. Overnight in Landruk.
DAY 7 Trek to Phedi and drive to Pokhara.
Moving on a flat level after an hour descent to Kimrong Khola, you move uphill on flagstone steps through rhododendron forest to reach Pitam Deurali. Then, enjoying the view of Machhapuchhre (6,993m) behind the lush hills, you reach Dhampus. Continue trekking past a small lake and arrive in Phedi from where you drive back to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
DAY 8 Pokhara city tour.
In the morning, you will visit World Peace Stupa to enjoy a 360-degree view of high Himalayan range from Dhaulagiri to Annapurna massifs along with Machhapuchhre (6,993m) and surrounding peaks. A panoramic view of Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake can also be seen from the stupa. Then, you hike down to Phewa Lake through the jungle and take a boat to cross the Lake passing Barahi temple located in the middle of the Lake. Overnight in Pokhara.
DAY 9 Drive to Chitwan.
Today we leave behind the lake city and drive to Chitwan. The change in landscape will be felt when you reach the plain Terai region in Chitwan. Driving through the vast evergreen forest, you reach Chitwan National Park and check-in at a hotel inside the national park. In the evening, you will go for a village walk to the nearby Tharu village adorned with colourful paints. Overnight in Chitwan.
DAY 10 Safari in Chitwan.
Today will be a fun day in Chitwan. You can enjoy the amazing jeep safari and an elephant bath where you can get splashed by the elephant with fresh water. You will explore the jungle on a jeep in the quest of sighting a one-horned rhino or a tiger may be. You will also visit the Elephant Breeding Centre, Gharial Breeding Centre, and Wildlife Display and Information Centre. Enjoy the beautiful sunset by the Rapti River. In the evening, you will be entertained by a Tharu cultural dance performed by the locals. Overnight in Chitwan.
DAY 11 Drive to Kathmandu.
After a bird watching session in the morning, you will have your breakfast and then drive back to Kathmandu via the highway alongside Trishuli River. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Feel free to visit the nearby markets and taste the food of Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
DAY 12 Departure Day.
Today is the farewell day. We will drop you at the airport after a quick photo session taken with all the members of the family. We hope to see you again.
